Fall Fair and Pumpkin Display

Enjoy an afternoon of fun at the Fall Fair this Friday, October 28.  Don’t forget to stop by the PTA’s booth and say hi.  We will be selling cotton candy, nachos, candy apples, and water. For more information click here.

We will also be displaying all the decorated pumpkins that were entered into the Halloween Decorating Contest.  Come by and see who won an award for being the scariest, cutest and most original in each grade level.

Halloween Decorating Contest

Awards will be given for SCARIESTCUTEST, and MOST ORIGINAL entries in each grade level.

*CONTEST RULES*

  1. Only one entry per student.
  2. The main part of each entry must be a pumpkin (real or plastic).
  3. PUMPKINS MAY NOT BE CARVED OR HOLLOWED OUT.
  4. Pumpkins may not be larger than 10″x10″x10″ including all decorations.
  5. Objects and materials used to decorate pumpkins must be securely attached. We are not responsible for lost parts.
  6. Only non perishable items may be pinned or glued to pumpkins. Participants may also draw or paint on their entries. Again, do not carve or hollow out your pumpkins.
  7. No electrical device may be used as part of any entry.
  8. Each entry must have the student’s full name, grade, and homeroom teacher on a small piece of paper or masking tape attached to the back or bottom of the pumpkin.
  9. Entries that do not follow the rules will be displayed, but will not be eligible for judging.

Entries are due on Thursday, October 27th before 8:00am in room P44.  All entries will be displayed at the side of the auditorium on Friday, October 28th during the Fall Festival.  Students must take home their entries on Friday after school or when they leave the Fall Festival.

Calling All Parents and Teachers…We Need Your Help!

Fremont School PTA is looking for and in need of new board members for next school year (2016/2017). We are asking for anyone in the school community to reach out and continue the success of the PTA here at Fremont. All current board members will be available next year for guidance. Help make 2016–2017 an awesome year for our children and our school.

If you are interested in serving next year or just want to be a guest, we are inviting you to join us at our Annual Board Member Elections which will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 6pm in room D-13.

* New ideas are always welcome! It’s important to keep our PTA fresh and exciting!

* When you choose to volunteer, you decide your time commitment!

* When you choose to volunteer, you don’t have to volunteer for everything. Maybe you have one thing that you can help with or maybe you can only attend the monthly meeting, either is fine.

* You will not be sucked in to a black hole of volunteering!

* The PTA always wants and always needs volunteers! Examples, chaperoning student dances, set up for an event, host a booth at one of the fairs, make posters, write a newsletter, helping at the book fair, organize a new family event.


If everyone does a little we can get a lot done!
